Enormous Rokenbok Building System!! - $290 (Pocatello)
Posted 2 years ago
Over 1,400 pieces to build an enormous city of Rokenbok!! This toy combines the best of hand-held robot control (just like a video game) with the creative imagination of actually engineering and constructing a city. It does not get more interactive than this and up to 4 kids can play at once (three controllers are included)!! The decks and ramps of the city are even compatible with Lego's should your kids wish to add even more artistic touches to their creations. It also includes a custom designed 3'x4' plexiglass enclosed playtable to house the city!
If you are not familiar with this awesome toy system...check out... http://www.rokenbok.com/default.asp
These remote controlled vehicles move beams and hundreds of two-sized balls throughout a city you design. The various chutes and conveyors are used to sort the different sized balls and move them across the complex. The control unit plugs into a wall outlet and each vehicle runs on AA batteries.
Here's what's included:
- Starter set including RC Loader (yellow dump truck); Controller Base with 8 control keys (one for each vehicle); Control Pad; Conveyor with chutes and loading bins; Corner Warehouse and Quarry
- Custom Play Table with carpeted bottom and plexiglass sides (3' x 4' x 30" high)
- RC Skip Trac Vehicle
- RC Power Sweeper
- RC Loader (green dump truck) with cargo trailer
- RC Monorail with Bonus track and crossing
- Extra Monorail Track set for building trestles and track across the "city"
- 2 extra control pads (look very similar to "Nintendo" controllers)
- Power RokLift - elevator for raising the ball cargo high in the air so they can travel down extended chutes and bin runs
- Rare Down-a-vator which safely drops vehicles from one level to the next
- Piston Plant which sorts cargo balls
- HUGE assortment of Ramps, Decks, Chutes, Hoppers, Beams, Blocks, Decorations, Braces, and Supports to build a gigantic city (we had the entire play table built 3 feet high!)
- Hundreds of Rokenbok balls
All the items in this set list for almost $1,000! Everything is in perfect working order!! This toy makes video games look stupid...since it also requires a very simple interactive building scheme that keeps your kids physically engaged and thinking! It also allows as much creativity your kids can muster to expand on the base plans. The Rokenbok website also has thousands of additional building ideas should you run out of ones of your own. These vehicles are also used to play "king of the hill" by knocking each other off elevated platforms (they are designed for this!). As a dad, I found myself involved in my kid's creations too and had a lot of fun! Unfortunately, we got these as my boys were getting older, so they have not seen much use recently. Very few hours on each vehicle. These toys last forever!! At this price...this is a steal!
